Moved column headings from layer to shared layer on Wireframe 2 Up. However, if all you want is a bigger arrow, you can adjust the size of the arrow using the scale field beneath the line tail or head pop-up menus. When you change the point size of the linesay, from 1 pt to 2 ptsthe arrow scales with the point size of the line. Added small wireframe and iPhone templates. The various line ends in OmniGraffle have some smart behavior. Added appropriate grids to all templates that necessitated alignment guides. Added 24 column guides with vertical and horizontal gutters on wireframes. Major alignment, grid, and layout changes. Template converted to flat XML format rather than bundle. IPhone template recreated using OmniGraffle drawing tools rather than imported PNGs to shrink file size. Sitemap requires Konigi diagramming style. (Thanks to Jasyson Elliot for the heads up.)Īdded Sitemap, Persona, and Mental Model examples. There's a sample deliverable here.įixed grid settings on all pages. If you want to hide them from your exported document, just hide the column number shared layer.Ī: I have occasionally posted example OmniGraffle documents to articles I write in the Notebook section of Konigi. If you turn guides on, you'll see guide lines for each of the columns. Q: What are the numbers above the wireframes about?Ī: The numbers above the wireframes are column numbers for a 24 column grid. Q: I can't open this file in OmniGraffle 4.x!Ī: This file was saved in OmniGraffle 5, but you should be able to open in OG 4 by renaming the extension from. Keep in mind that that template is made ideally for projecting on screen and for printing on 11x17 paper. Your document should now print at the right scale for whatever paper size you use. Stencils Added new Data Flow Diagram stencil. Thumbnail Previews Preview images are generated and saved as part of the file when a document is edited. This release requires macOS Mojave or later. There are options in the Canvas inspector that allow you to print one canvas per sheet rather than scaling to fit across sheets if your page setup is smaller than your canvas.Ī: When printing, do this in your print dialog:ġ) select the Paper Handling options from the drop down menu OmniGraffle 7.12 improves compatibility with macOS Catalina. I scale up so that I can work in 1:1 ratio for presenting on screen in PDF. The 22"x34" template was scaled to fit comfortably when printed in 11"x17". The built-in presentation capabilities of OmniGraffle or Keynote don't come close to what i'm trying to achieve here.Īny thoughts or suggestions would be welcomed.A: I use Page setup to control canvas size. Maybe everything looks like a nail because I know that this is such a powerful tool. Is there a way to use Motion as a live presentation tool, pausing between different slides and waiting for user interaction? It would also be great if there was a way to do a 'live preview' of my project, so I could give this training session live. The final piece I'm trying to figure out: working through my training script (getting the wording right, the timings, etc) and associating different keyframes with specific portions of the recorded audio. Then, I'd create a series of camera positions, and for each one decide which items should be shown when - keyframe them to fade in, animate drawing arrows between them, etc. I think that the ideal situation would be if I could create a flowchart in OmniGraffle and bring in every item as a separate object in Motion, while preserving each item's respective scale and position relative to the other items. I'm hoping to find a fast and easy way to import (or replicate) a flowchart in Motion so that I can create a training video that follows one of these flowcharts and explains it to the user (I'm trying to train non-technical volunteers.) I'd like to animate between different zooms and crops on portions of the canvas. (I've attached a simple one to this post as an example.) I often create flowcharts in OmniGraffle Pro to show how an Audio / Visual system is connected.
